Our Activities
Pan Project was started on May, 2007. First we surveyed the baseline on different areas and allocated 5 tele-centers- Dandagaun telecenter, Rasuwa: Jhuwani telecenter,Chitawan : Tolka telecenter,Kaski: Nangi telecenter,Magdi: Shikha telecenter,Magdi.
The first layer training was conducted by joint effort of E-Network Research and Development (ENRD) and Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya (MPP) which was given to the training of trainer (TOT) who than trained other five groups of local trainer of their respective field . This TOT level training was organized in Kathmandu , where 5 participants were the operators of the selected 5 telecenters and three participants were staffs of ENRD .
According to schedule of PAN Localization Project phase II, we then managed second layer of end-user training in selected 5 centers. In this Local Level Leadership Training (LLLT), each operator provided training to 5 different groups of each telecenters.
After LLLT, Third Layer Training program was organized by the local community with the help of the leader of each boundary partner. Each 5 groups of local trainer further trained 5 participants under them.
In this way each center produced 25 end users representing from the each 5 different boundary partners according to the location. All the respondents 31 peoples covered from the participant of the first layer up-to third layer trainees from each center.
The Second ToT Training was conducted by joint effort of ENRD and MPP in Nangi Telecenter of Myagdi District from November 9, 2008 to November 18, 2008.
After this training they were able to developing websites using CMS, introduce new features of Nepalinux, introduce about Blog and teach to create Blog and teach about Domain registration and Web hosting.
To check the status of the training program we scheduled our visit to each telecenter once in every month. In this way we conducted our different activities under this PAN Project.
